It is September and I anxiously await the start of basketball season. After New Orleans I kept myself busy and entertained by volunteering at Theatre Under the Stars all summer. Volunteering in the Theatre is a lot like being around basketball people. Focused, fun, loud and a little crazy. I miss all my Theatre Friends, but I am glad that BBall season is just around the corner....atleast for the Steve Nash Youth League.
Saturday is the Referee Training Clinic I put on for all my Referees in the League. As Referee Coordinator, I like to work on recruiting Referees, as well as taking on Players from the League. I look forward to training a new group of Referees, as well as the return of last years Referees.
As a coach in the Steve Nash League, I have a tough job ahead of me. Last year my team went undefeated, which caused a little controversy. But that's ok, I know that there are games the team would have lost if they had had a weaker coach and I take pride in that. I look forward to a new season of challenges. That's all for the moment....
